Family holidays should be taken during school holiday time. Any holidays during term time will not be authorised, unless under exceptional circumstances.
There have been changes to DfE guidance on attendance from August 2024 meaning any holidays of 5 days (10 sessions) or more will be in breach of guidance and families will receive a fixed penalty notice for each parent.
