Some of our KS2 children completed a very difficult cross country course at East Durham College as part of the Schools Sports Partnership Cross Country event. All 4 teams gave some very impressive performances although a special mention goes to Ellen- Marie Atkinson who won the Year 3/4 girls event and also to Jake Worth who came second in the Year 3/4 boys event. Both children now go through to the regional finals next year.

Congratulations to some of our Year 5 children who braved the January weather to complete a 4 week Bikeability course. The children extended their knowledge of how to keep safe whilst riding their bikes on the local roads and completed the level 1 or level 2 course.
Football Teams (A and B)
Both our A and B football teams were showing off their new football strips and getting ready for their big matches in the ‘Bishops Cup’. A BIG thank you to our ‘Friends of St. Mary Magdalen’s’ who generously bought these fantastic new strips! I’m sure both teams will achieve great things and will add further successes to the many trophies, shields and medals we already have displayed in school.
