Hello, my name is Janet Place. I have been a Parent Governor since September 2016 and my daughter Anna is in Year 5 at St Mary Magdalen’s.
I am the practice manager of a long established firm of solicitors in County Durham and I would like to hope that the skills and experience I have gained during many years working within the legal profession can help me to support our wonderful school for a long time to come. I have been attending training courses to supplement my knowledge and gain fuller awareness and understanding of all that the role of Parent Governor requires.
As a busy family we regularly attend Mass and we enjoy spending quality time together, from swimming and gymnastics, going to the cinema or on nice walks and going to sporting events and concerts both in the UK and abroad.
