Welcome to the Friends of St Mary Magdalen’s

We are pleased to say our Friends of the School group met in January 2023 and are now up and running with a new team of people and new ideas. We hope to work towards securing some new playground equipment for our children to extend our current provision and ensure our children have the very best opportunities in all areas at St Mary Magdalen’s. Diocese of Hexham and Newcastle

The Education department of Diocese of Hexham and Newcastle support our catholic schools in their spiritual and educational development and carry out religious inspections. The inspection reviews, evaluates and plans further improvements in the school’s witness to the Catholic faith and Curriculum Religious Education. This process begins with the school’s own self-evaluation. The inspection schedule follows criteria set by the National Board of Advisers and Inspectors.
