Every Monday our children gather for Collective Worship which focuses on the Sunday Gospel reading. During this time of prayer, each class is presented with a ‘Statement to Live By’ – Ethos Statement. The children spend time throughout the week reflecting on the meaning and significance of each statement.
Whole School Worship
Every Monday the children gather for Celebration of the Word which focuses on the Sunday Gospel reading. During this time of prayer, each class is presented with a weekly challenge linked to the Gospel. Our children also contribute to these times of prayer by offering readings, providing music or performing liturgical dance. Our year 6 Chaplaincy team contribute to the delivery of whole school worship.
Class Celebration of the Word
Each term, one phase in school leads Celebration of the Word for other classes and parents are invited to join us. The class plan and lead this, choosing prayers, hymns and choreographing Liturgical Dance. The children are confident to lead these reverend acts of worship.
