Art Day 2018

14th June 2018 By

Profession artist, Jane McCraken, visited school once again to deliver a number of work shops to the children during our Art Day. Following on from an inspiring art assembly, Jane worked with individual classes in helping the children to produce some fabulous pieces of contemporary art work involving our local area. We are hoping that the children’s work will be used to design a new t-shirt depicting the life of Seaham.

Thank you Jane for all your hard work!

Further information regarding the work of  Jane McCracken can be found on her website: http://www.janeleemccracken.co.uk

Congratulations to our Year 4 children who made their First Holy Communion this Saturday. The boys and girls outshone the summer sunshine in their outfits and dresses. It was a fabulous occasion and lovely to see so many family members gathered together to celebrate the children’s special moment with them. Thank you to all the helpers, of which there were many, who contributed to the big day. A special thank you to Fr. Frank, Mrs Wilkinson and Mrs Robinson for their time in preparing the children for the sacrament. Thank you to Mrs Jubb for providing such fabulous party food and the special cake. Lastly, thank you to the parish ladies for working non stop providing refreshments throughout the morning.

Our Year 6 children did a great job in helping to keep our school grounds clean. Following a fun litter pick, we were all very surprised at how much litter actually ends up on our playground and school field! Thanks to the brilliant efforts of the children our school looks clean, bright and tidy.
