Our Reception children carried out a fabulous class liturgy to celebrate ‘sharing love with one another’. They focussed on the Gospel message and sent out Mother’s Day flowers and messages …”I love my mammy because…”. Thank you to all parents who joined us in school to share such a special moment.

Red Nose Day 2017 – What fun we all had!

26th March 2017 By spidrwebadmin

The school had a fun filled day to celebrate Red Nose Day 2017. Lots of fundraising events took place throughout the day. Our ‘Mini Vinnies’ held a ‘Tell us your joke’ competition, the school council washed the staff cars to raise money and a surprisingly large number of pupils and staff donated money to see poor Mr Duncan get dunked at the end of the day!! A fantastic £459.23 was raised for good causes – well done everyone!

Superintendent Calls into Year6

8th March 2017 By spidrwebadmin

As part of the Year 6 ‘Crime and Punishment’ topic, Superintendent Milner, from Northumbria Police, called into Year 6 to talk to the children all about the work of the police force and the detection of crime.  Inspector Milner talked about DNA, finger printing, footprint detection, use of GPS in locating criminals and a brief history of the police force. The children ended their talk with Inspector Milner highlighting the importance of e-safety. The children and staff would like to thank Superintendent Milner for his time and very informative session – the children loved it!
