Our ks2 children enjoyed a theatre production of ‘The Little Princess’ by m&m productions. Our Y5 children did workshops with the cast learning all about how productions are carried out and about the props. It was a fantastic morning.
Year 2 Football Tournament
Congratulations to our Year 2 footballers who took part in the Easington Schools Sports Partnership Football Festival this week. They played several games against other schools and finished as runners up.
World Book Day 2018
Well done to all of our children and staff who dressed up for World Book Day on Friday. We certainly had a fabulous day filled with reading, sharing stories and celebrating everything that there is about reading books!. Thank you to our School Council who judged the best dressed character from each class – you did a great job, especially when everyone could have been judged a winner! Thank you also to Mrs Robson for organising such a fun day – who would have thought reading books was so much fun! Let’s hope next year will be just as good.

Basketball Festival
Congratulations to some of our Year 5 children who showed their impressive basketball skills in the Easington Schools Sport Basketball Festival.
Year 4 Football Competition
Congratulations to our Year 4 football team who took part in the Easington School Sports Partnership Football Festival and came away as overall winners! Well done, we are all very proud of you.
Mothers Day Lunch
Thank you to all parents who attended our Mother’s Day lunch. It was lovely to see you and your children enjoying such a lovely occasion. Thank you also for all the lovely comments passed onto school – they really are very much appreciated.

World Book Day
Due to last week’s adverse weather conditions and subsequent closure of school our World Book Day did not take place as planned.
We have rescheduled ‘World Book Day’ for Friday 9th March.
The children are asked to come to school dressed as their favourite book character or author (£1 donation per family please). The children are welcome to bring in their favourite book as they will have an opportunity to read it and share what they like about it with others in their class.
Our school council will judge the best dressed book character from each class and all the children will be celebrated for their effort during a whole school assembly.
I’m sure the children will have a fabulous day enjoying everything that is great about reading books!
School Open – Monday 5th March
School will be open as usual tomorrow (Monday 5th March). Breakfast club will be on as normal from 8.00am. School events, disrupted by the adverse weather last week, will be rearranged for later in the term. I look forward to seeing all the children back at school tomorrow.
Thank you.
Mr L J Duncan
Wintry Weather Expected
A spell of wintry weather has been forecast for next week. It is very likely that there will be some snow combined with very cold winds. Could you ensure that your child comes to school appropriately dressed (coast, hat & gloves) and that they are prepared for this cold spell. Hopefully the weather will not affect the running of our school but, in the unlikely event that it does, please keep an eye on our school blog and school App which will keep you updated. Thank you.
