A very big well done to all the children who brought their Easter paste eggs into school. All the egg designs were fantastic! Thank you also to parents who spent time to help and support their children in creating their egg entries and for those parents who entered their own egg designs too! Our school council had the difficult job of judging the overall winning entries from each class – well done to all the winners. Every entry received a chocolate egg for their efforts and the winners were awarded a special prize of a larger chocolate Easter egg. Today, our Reception children enjoyed an end of topic ‘Teddy Bear’s Picnic’. Our English lessons have been spent writing party invitations to our favourite soft toy or teddy. We designed our own place mats, decorating them with all of our favourite Julia Donaldson characters. We all enjoyed yummy party food and our teddies loved our party games. (Early Years Team)

Well done to all of our children and staff who dressed up for World Book Day on Friday. We certainly had a fabulous day filled with reading, sharing stories and celebrating everything that there is about reading books!. Thank you to our School Council who judged the best dressed character from each class – you did a great job, especially when everyone could have been judged a winner! Thank you also to Mrs Robson for organising such a fun day – who would have thought reading books was so much fun! Let’s hope next year will be just as good.
