The children in school had a non uniform day to raise money for children with cancer. A big thank you to everyone who donated £1, all of which totalled £270. The school cheque was presented by our Head Boy and Head Girl to Keiran Henderson, a past pupil, who was raising funds on behalf of ‘Children with Cancer’ charity.

Tomorrow, Tuesday 5^th February, will be Safer Internet Day and the children in school will be learning how to keep themselves safe when using the internet or when online. During the afternoon, parents are warmly invited to attend a short presentation on internet safety delivered by one of Durham County Council’s  e-safety consultants. Thank you to all parents who turned up for the safer internet talk delivered by Durham County Council.  Our children did some fabulous work around keeping safe whilst on the internet or online.  Throughout the day we had our school nurse team delivering whole school assemblies.  Internet safety workshops for our key stage 1 children were carried out by Big Foot Limited.  Our key stage 2 children did a fabulous job, presenting an assembly, showcasing the fabulous work they had done throughout the day.

Thank you to everyone who joined us this year at our Christmas fayre. There was a fabulous turn out and once again it was a lovely festive occasion which enabled our school community to come together. It was lovely to catch up with so many parents and thank you for the many lovely kind comments made to me personally about our school.

A big thank you also goes out to our ‘Friends of the School’ volunteers for their continued dedication and hard work in making our Christmas fayre possible.
