Christmas Fayre

Armistice Day

CIMG3689 (Copy)Armistice Day was marked in school today by all classes.  Whilst Year 3 visited the Cenotaph, KS2 marked the event with a minute’s silence.  Reception and KS1 thought about peace and forgiveness and planted their poppy crosses outside the front entrance.

Year 4 and 5 CIMG3672were asked to join other schools in Seaham at the Cenotaph.  We were joined by the Mayor  to take part in a very thought provoking remembrance service.

High Five Netballers!

The Year 5 and 6 Netballers entered the High Five Netball Tournament at Easington Academy.  After winning all the games in their group, they then played Murton Ribbon Academy in a gripping semi final where they were only just beaten 3-2.

Year.2 Fundraising Event

A big well done to Mrs Thompson and our Year 2 class!  The children had a very successful fundraising afternoon today making spooky crafts, selling cakes and selling raffle tickets. Thank you to all the parents and carers who attended and contributed to the day. A grand total of £268 was raised – a well deserved result for such hard work.

Cross Country Champions!

CIMG3632Congratulations to the Year 5 and 6 Cross Country teams who competed in the Easington Schools Cross Country event. Everyone excelled themselves over a gruelling course!

Well done in particular to the Year 5 and 6 girl’s team who came first! They now go on to the regional finals next year.
