A big thank you goes to the Friends of the School who organised another hugely successful Christmas Fayre in school. A massive £1782.15 was raised on the day!
Carol Singing
Year 5 enjoyed spreading their Christmas cheer to the staff and residents of Beachcomber Nursing home when they performed a series of old and new Christmas carols and songs.
Ben and Jet
Reception and Key Stage 1 children welcomed two very special visitors, Ben and Jet, into school today. They were accompanied by two policewoman who came to talk about ways to keep safe.
Children in Need
A big thank you to everyone in our school family who raided their piggy banks to help support the Children in Need Appeal. The total amount raised will be published very soon.
Armistice Day
Armistice Day was marked in school today by all classes. Whilst Year 3 visited the Cenotaph, KS2 marked the event with a minute’s silence. Reception and KS1 thought about peace and forgiveness and planted their poppy crosses outside the front entrance.
Cenotaph visit
Year 4 and 5 
were asked to join other schools in Seaham at the Cenotaph. We were joined by the Mayor to take part in a very thought provoking remembrance service.
High Five Netballers!
The Year 5 and 6 Netballers entered the High Five Netball Tournament at Easington Academy. After winning all the games in their group, they then played Murton Ribbon Academy in a gripping semi final where they were only just beaten 3-2.

Year.2 Fundraising Event
A big well done to Mrs Thompson and our Year 2 class! The children had a very successful fundraising afternoon today making spooky crafts, selling cakes and selling raffle tickets. Thank you to all the parents and carers who attended and contributed to the day. A grand total of £268 was raised – a well deserved result for such hard work.
Cross Country Champions!
Congratulations to the Year 5 and 6 Cross Country teams who competed in the Easington Schools Cross Country event. Everyone excelled themselves over a gruelling course!
Well done in particular to the Year 5 and 6 girl’s team who came first! They now go on to the regional finals next year.
